Information on this website
The information on this website is provided for general information only. It is not a personal recommendation, medical advice or a substitute for advice based on your business’s circumstances, objectives and requirements.
Insurance benefits, underwriting, eligibility, premiums, terms and insurer availability depend on the scheme and circumstances. Examples of savings or outcomes are individual experiences and are not guaranteed.
Our service and market scope
Before providing regulated advice or arranging insurance, we will explain the service we provide and give you our current formal Terms of Business. Those client terms take precedence over general website information.
Where we make a personal recommendation, we do so on the basis of a fair and personal analysis of a sufficiently large number of relevant insurance contracts available on the market to enable a recommendation in accordance with professional criteria. This does not mean that we have access to every insurer or every product.
We will identify your demands and needs and explain material features, exclusions, underwriting implications and trade-offs relevant to our recommendation. The insurer decides whether to offer cover and on what terms.
How we are paid
We may receive commission from an insurer, charge an agreed fee, or use a combination of the two. Before insurance is concluded, our client documents will explain the nature of the remuneration that applies. A commercial customer may ask us to disclose promptly, in writing, the amount of commission received in connection with its policy or, where that is not possible, the basis on which it is calculated.
Premiums and client money
Secure Choice does not hold client money. Unless we confirm otherwise in writing, premiums are paid to the insurer or its appointed collection provider using the payment instructions supplied for the policy. A payment is not treated as made to the insurer until it is received in accordance with those instructions.
Your responsibilities
Please provide complete and accurate information, tell us promptly if relevant information changes, check policy documents and payment instructions, and notify us of errors without delay. An insurer may reduce or refuse a claim, change terms or cancel cover where information required by law or by the policy has not been provided accurately.
Cancellation, claims and policy changes
Cancellation rights, notice periods and charges vary by policy and are set out in the insurer’s documents. We can help you understand the process, but a request is not effective until accepted by the insurer where insurer approval is required. Claims are assessed and paid by the insurer under the policy terms.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with our service, please use our complaints process. We will investigate fairly. Eligible complainants may be able to refer an unresolved complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service free of charge.
Accuracy and availability
We take reasonable care to keep website information accurate and current, but insurance products, legislation and regulatory requirements can change. Please contact us before relying on information for a decision.
We cannot guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or free from technical errors. Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience; those organisations are responsible for their own content and security.
Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, Secure Choice owns or is licensed to use the website’s content and branding. It may not be reproduced commercially without permission. Insurer names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
Website security and acceptable use
You must not misuse this website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or interfere with its operation. Email is not suitable for detailed medical or other sensitive personal information; contact us so we can agree an appropriate method.
Liability and governing law
Nothing on this page excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Subject to that, Secure Choice is not responsible for loss caused by reliance on general website information rather than advice provided for the client’s circumstances. These website terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, without affecting rights that cannot lawfully be restricted.
